I do not mind mudding afterwards Flocked wallpaper, lead paint between wallpaper, vinyl wallpaper you name it this house had it. Worked exactly as you have described. Was I doomed to spend the rest of my summer pulling tiny strips of wallpaper off the walls in the back bathroom, just to end up having to spackle over all the gouges in the walls?

We talked to a professional and he gave us some expensive solution to put in the water but we found that water umprimed the compression sprayer did the trick; but your right, put something on the floor to catch all that water.

If its only tearing it ‘here and there’ I’d say keep going and just expect to do some drywall repair when finished. We welcome your comments and suggestions.


Removing wallpaper from unprimed drywall

I’ve stripped dozens of rooms of wallpaper through the years, I am no newbie. I have wallpaper to remove too…but my walls are primed. It did take me forever and I kinda damaged the drywall underneath in a few places. I actually just bought that Wagner steamer yesterday at Lowes. BB code is On.
